Roman catholic parish church dedicated to St Gertrude of Nivelles, patron saint of Zandvliet. The parish is part of the Antwerp diocese and deanery (Stabroek federation).

Painter Nicasius De Keyser (1813-1887) was buried at the adjacent cemetery. One of his paintings, "Christ in the grave", can be seen above the side altar of the church.
