The pedestrian street in Kerava was ten years in the building, and was completed in 1996. It forms an approximately 850 metre-long continuous pedestrian area through the centre of the town. The street is characterised by planted trees, environmental art and children’s play areas. At the same time it serves as a lively shopping centre, many small shops and the town’s bigger department stores being situated along it.

Orginally the part of the street that ends at Prisma used to be drivable and was closed off in 1977
