Iverson Mall was built in the 1960s and was significantly remodeled in the early 1980s. The original anchors were Woodward and Lothrop (Woodies) and Montgomery Wards. Woodies closed in 1995 and was replaced with Value City (furniture and clothing) and Montgomery Wards closed in 2001 and was replaced with Forman Mills in 2004.
What is unique about Iverson Mall is the second floor of the mall passes over Iverson Street. Stores are located in the air rights.
