Construction of the main bridge structure is over. However, surfacing and proper approach connection not ready yet (Oct 2010). Do not try to driver over this with a low-clearance vehicle. A jeep is needed.

  • CRAP ! Seriously people who have stopped the completion of this bridge are dumb. They dont see the brighter side of the bridge that they will have buses connecting Jaitapur, Tulsunde, Madban directly to ratnagiri. It will only help the local market to grow thereby bringin more money for the people residing here. GOD GIVE THEM CHANGLI BUDDHI !!!
  • One more thing, the govt only constructed this bridge to help the construction of Nuclear power plant here. Because the equipments and materials required to build the plant has to be transported from ratnagiri or rajapur. Although there is a route from rajapur to madban, but its condition is too poor. The govt. realized that that road was not strong enough to allow the heavy trucks,etc to travel on them. So they played a game. To make the people here happy they first announced the bridge. Then they completed it(finally...yes, it was a long wait)! The people are not yet really aware of the motive of the govt for building the bridge. If the people really wanted to stop the power plant from being set up here. they must have first and foremost agitated against the bridge. So that no machinery could be transported to Madban. But the govt. fooled or maybe outsmarted the simple junta here... :-(
