Historic Federal-style house dating to 1828. The property was the site of an earlier house built in 1767 by Carter Braxton, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. The current home was built by his grandson. Braxton is buried in a family cemetery on this property, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a historic district.
