Vekatramana Temple (Puttur)

Vekatramana Temple is the place of worship used primarily by Gowda Saraswat or Konkani Brahmins. These Brahmins are one of the many sects of Brahmins in Dakshina and Uttara Kannada districts of Karnataka State. They speak a language called "Konkani." Konkan is the coastal area starting from Goa (north) and reaching Kerala State in the south.
