تقع بوارج في قضاء زحلة أحد أقضية محافظة البقاع هذه المحافظة هي واحدة من ثمان محافظات يتشكل منها لبنان الإداري. عدد محافظات لبنان ارتفع من 6 إلى 8 في شهر تموز 2003 بعد تأسيس محافظتين جديدتين. الأولى هي محافظة بعلبك الهرمل ( بموجب المرسوم 522 تاريخ 16 تموز 2003) والثانية هي محافظة عكار. قبل تموز 2003 آان قضاء عكار يتبع محافظة لبنان الشمالي وقضاءي بعلبك الهرمل آانا جزءا من محافظة البقاع.
تبعد بوارج 41 كلم (25.4774 مي) عن بيروت عاصمة لبنان. ترتفع 1310 م (4298.11 قدم - 1432.616 يارد) عن سطح البحر وتمتد على مساحة 347 هكتاراً (3.47 كلم²- 1.33942 مي²).

Bouarej situé dans le district de Zahlé Békaa l'un des districts de cette province est un des huit électeurs, au Liban. Le nombre de gouvernorats du Liban est passé de 6 à 8 en Juillet 2003 après la création de nouvelles provinces. La première est la province de Baalbek-Hermel (en vertu du décret 522 Date Juillet 16, 2003) et la seconde est la province d'Akkar. Avant de Juillet 2003 a été suivie par Akkar Nord Liban et dans les districts de Baalbek-Hermel Suis-je une partie de la Bekaa.
