This is the valley that most new immmigrants lived in from the early 1800's to the 1950's that became the new residents of the Eastside of St. Paul. It is now a walking trail with many historic surrounding areas. See the Payne Phalen entry also.

The trail was originally a Northern Pacific Railway line to White Bear Lake.
