Hump classification yard.

The hub of Conrail operations in the region is Pavonia Yard in Camden, New Jersey. The yard was electrified by the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1938 and was de-electrified in 1966. It was re-electrified by the PRR's successor, Penn Central, in 1973 until it was de-electrified once again, this time by Conrail after they discontinued their electric freight operations.
