Naza Automotive Manufacturing Sdn Bhd (NAM), the manufacturing arm of the Naza Group was established in Gurun, Kedah in May 2004.

NAM is located on a 140-acre parcel of land and comprises of an assembly plant, two- storey office, a test track, lots for vendors and suppliers, staff accommodation and recreation facilities.

The Naza Group's investment in NAM to-date is RM714 million. NAM currently has a 1,000 strong workforce and has employed over 3,600 personnel since it commenced operations in May 2004.

NAM has an annual capacity of 50,000 units per annum and currently produces Peugeot and Kia vehicles for the Malaysian market as well as for export.

The assembly facility in NAM incorporates areas designated for body welding, painting (fully automated), assembly and pre-delivery inspection of the units and accessories.

NAM is also equipped with a test and simulation track, which includes equipment used to assess the performance, endurance and quality of each unit rolled out.

On Sept 22, 2011, NAM produced its 150,000th model.

Vehicles produced at NAM are currently being exported to Thailand, Indonesia and Brunei and will soon be shipped to Sri Lanka, Australia, New Zealand and right-hand drive markets in Africa.

NAM is targeting to export RM2.5 billion worth of units assembled at the plant over a six- year period ending 2016.
