Chowkari(चौकङी) is one of the most Historical Village in Sikar District, Old Name is Dhadetya ki Chowkari(in hindi: धाङेत्यां की चौकङी)its known as various name like: Chaukari, Chaukri, Chokadi, Chokdi, Choukari.
there is an old Fort it has got great story, I found that the “Chowkari” has fulfill all the basic requirments like: School, Hospital, Anganbari Kendra(Performing Better), Post office as well except drinking water.
we have good transportation between Chala & Chowkari through Jeephdi & Sulda’s. The main Market is spread from Bus Stand to Sedh Mayi, there are many famous shop like: Modi ki Dukan, Jindal ka Show room, Montya ki Mobile Shop, Bugga Nayi ki Dukan(In Kolyali).
There are lot of cast like: Chejara, Meena, Lata(Sharma), Rajput, Olla Banya-Palla Banya(Agarwal), Khatya ke, Kumhar, Dhabayi, Daroga, Jogi, Sunar, Panda ke, Kuwa Kathla (Agarwal), Choudharya ke etc.
Temple: Johde Wale Balaji, Bada mandir, Chhota Mandir, Shivji ka Mandir etc. There mostly famous problem in this village that is Khandela Mood to Chala “Dachak Dachak” Road, The Villagers was fully enjoying of this road but with majburi Now its renewed with State High Way and Vehicles are runing "sarpatt". In this village are have five old well: Kharya Kuwa, Mitha Kuwa, Chhatryala Kuwa, Pirotha Ka Kuwa & Nawda kua. But all five wells are dry. Regrya Nala has lot of Sugalwada but still nothing done for it.
We have enjoyed our Bachpan with lot of interesting game like: Uthak Bethak, Lukh-Michna, Mardari, Sitoliya, Gatta, kach ki golya(DON), Ghochi(tash ka khel), gilli-danda, & playing other game by using Kanda ka parsad.
