Helix is a city in Umatilla County, Oregon, United States. The population was 184 at the 2010 census.

Helix post office was established on May 6, 1880, with Mary Ann Simpson as postmaster. The name first selected for the community was Oxford, but postal authorities objected because of possible confusion with similar names elsewhere. In 1927, the writer was told that W. B. Henderson selected the name Helix due to an infection in the helix of his ear.
