Medhe it is main Village in this area with Grop Grampanchayat that is Democratically elected body which controls village administration Medha as well as for other eight villages around it.Village has school till 10th Standard and a hostel for tribal students donated my Dr.Prabhakar Patwardhan and 02 rice mills.It is Main village for last Hundreds of years and has fort Known as Avachitgad and Maharaj Vakeshwar protecting Since then.

From this fort you can view area till Murund Janjira if sky is clear.Fort still has three thophs ,1 Shilalekh ,and some water sources at top of it.This fort's story told by villager's is it was owned by Hindu Sardar for many generations but when is last generation was geting old day by day with no heirs left to rule he send a message to Young Hindu King Shivaba Saying He want to give charge of this Fort to only a Hindu Person with a capability to Rule and make best use of this fort. If Shivaba takes charge of this Fort he will be honered. That time King Shivba was just passing by this area and by surprise without asny expectations he got this fort without losing a single soldier.So this fort was then renamed as Avachitgad a fort received without any expectaions.

Vakeshwar is the village god.It is Shiv Lingam disovered in the vakri's forest when it was seen by sheepherd who saw everyday milking at a particular place and informed Senior people in the village about the same and one of old man from village seen Maharaj Shankar in the dream same night asking him to take in lingam out of soil and built tmple at the same place.Major festival takes place on Holy night of Mahashivratri.
