 museum, catholicism

The noviciat or the novice house is located in a wing of the Abbey. It now houses the department museum. It was rebuilt on the foundations of the medieval structure in the XVIIth and XVIIIth Centuries. The older structure, also known as a Flanders lodge was probably one of the first Abbey dwellings before it was converted to house the cells of the novices and the religious orders. The triangular pediment bears the arms of Abbot Etienne Gaillard and the insignia of the Canons are still visible.
