The historic Hôtel-Dieu de Lyon, an enormous structure,with portions dating back to Medieval times, has been completely rebuilt as a multi-use complex. The main wing facing the river is a luxury hotel, the InterContinental Lyon, and the complex also contains offices, shops and a convention center.
