Church of St. John (Gubbio)

Mentioned in documents as early as c. XII. To the original building was replaced in seconds. XIII, a factory impose more,
whose plant has a single nave with four transverse arches to support the eaves, represented the model of other churches eugubine later. Very nice facade, flanked by a massive quadrangular bell tower. The interior "was put back in the ancient Gothic style around 1865." Among the works of art in the church are to be mentioned: the Santa Barbara and Santa Lucia di Benedetto Nucci (1st altar on the left), the Calling of St. Peter (1573), John M. Baldassini (2nd altar right). The murals in the chapel of the baptistery were carried out in 1828-29 dall'eugubino Hannibal Goods. The source is the work of stone dated 1510. Remains of late Gothic and Gothic frescoes are visible on the walls of the church.
