The Russian presence is enhanced in mid-September 2015 by four Su-30SM Flankers, twelve Su-25 Frogfoots, twelve Su-24 Fencers, some Mi-24 Hinds and Mi-17 Hips. The Russian detachment is concentrated on the northeast corner of the base.
With the absence of hardened shelters, the combat aircraft will probably be stationed at another base (or bases) in the near future.
