El Ahuaca

El Ahuaca is a granite mountain that stands next to the city of Cariamanga. It has two peaks. The western peak is the tallest. It is roughly a 1000 foot ascent from the trail head to the tallest peak. The trail is moderate. At the top is a large metal cross. The lower peak can not be climbed with out rock climbing equipment. Both peaks offer spectacular views of the city of Cariamanga and the surrounding area.
