The malting was established here in 1967 and the brewery shortly after malting - in 1969. The Heineken Group entered the brewery in 1995.

The most famous Slovak beer Zlatý Bažant (Golden Pheasant) with more than a million hectolitres sold all over the world. Zlatý Bažant also represents Slovak the most valuable brand at all.
Besides Zlatý Bažant the oldest beer brand and the best selling beer in Slovakia brews here - Corgoň (originally brewed in Nitra). And very popular Slovak premium hard-core beer Kelt.
