First charaideo capital complex of Ahom Kingdom. Founder of Ahom Dynasty, the 700 year long ruler of Assam, founded his first settlement at a village named Habung near the confluence of Buri Dihing and Brahmaputra. But he could not stay for long due regular inundation by flood water every year. He then came to "Charaideo" a plain area at the foothills of Naga Hills. It was 1217 AD. He founded his capital complex somewhere here. But he could not build palaces or other permanent structures during his lifetime. Later, his successors shifted the capital at Gargaon near Simaluguri and constructed palaces etc. of permanent nature. Naturally, there are no firm evidence of being a capital complex anywhere in this place. As a result, many people believe the capital complex was somewhere else, and they claim as per their belief. This is one of such Capital Complex of the first Ahom King, Swargadeu Chaolung Sukafa.
