This temple complex is one of the oldest temples in Bangalore. Some of the scriptures in the temple complex are believed to be more than 400 years old. The locality Malleswaram gets its name due to this temple (Kaadu 'Malleswara' is the Deity's name). This temple was renovated in 2009 wherein the main Gopuram of the temple was added to the complex. This temple complex is one of the most visited places and a must see in Malleswaram.
