This is the Main Campus/Center of non-profit Northside Mental Health Center. The center has provided community mental health services primarily to residents of the northern portions of Hillsborough County since 1976.
This campus opened as Northside Mental Health Hospital in 1992. Soon after the "Hospital" moniker reverted to "Center" after the inpatient unit closed due to lack of funding. Recent years have seen the inpatient wing return to house a Crisis Stabilization Unit.
