  From : - Mr. Shivrudrappa Shivlingappa Patil, Aurangabad (M.S., India) - Pin : 431 001 Nidoda is a very nice village situated near the bank of river 'Manjra', where we used to enjoy our Summer Holidays in our school days at our Grand Papa's House. My Grand Papa's name was Shree Gundappa Bhimanna Biradar (Patil) from Kushnoor Thana. He was Uncle of the Former Home Minister of Karnataka Mr. Manikrao Shamrao Patil, who was 'Home Minister' in then Cabinet Ministry of Mr. Veerendra Patil who was the Chief Minister of Karnataka State & he was also Food Grain Civil Supplies Minister during the Ministry of Mr. R. Gundurao. Mr. Gundappa Bhimanna Biradar (Patil) was the active & very eminent Person, well trusted with Popularity in & around the Nidoda Village. He was honoured & awarded as 'Progressive Farmer' in that Region by the Karnataka Government. He passed away at around 80 years of his age. His elder Son Mr. Vishwanathrao Gundappa Patil was also very active, clever & popular 'Sarpanch' of 'Kushnoor Thana' for a considerably long period of around 20 years. The soil around the village very good fertile & mainly of Black Cotton Soil type. Early days i.e. around 45 years back, the main Crop was Jawar, Cotton, Chilly, Grams & other vegetables. But, later on after supply of Electricity started in that region, the farmers turned to other Cash Crop like Cane Sugar. The water resource for drinking & irrigation purpose is from the River 'Manjra' itself, which flows from at a distance of approx. 1.5 Kilometre away from Nidoda Village. Overall, these all are very cheerful & happy moments of our complete family's life, which we spent there & still remember.
