Nine cubic blocks, each carrying a letter of the name "GUTENBERG" plus a symbol out of the history (not only of Mainz), like the Roman Ships, the Art of Printing, etc. Actually this was only thought as a temporary action; however, people enjoyed it so much, that it became a permanent tourist feature.
