Sax is an unincorporated community in sections 26 and 27, McDavitt Township (T. 55N, R. 18W), St. Louis County, Minnesota. It had a post office from 1916-30, and was a former railroad station village. Some 1916 maps show it as Wallace, and a 1930 map spells it Saxe.
