The Art Center College of Design's South Campus plays an active role in the City of Pasadena and, by extension, the greater Los Angeles area by helping to inform these communities of the importance of art and design to enrich everyday life.
The South Campus is home to Art Center’s growing Public Programs, providing dedicated classroom and studio space for the 5,200 students in the non-degree programs that bring Art Center to the community. It also houses the Graduate Art and the Criticism and Theory programs, which have more room for expansion and growth. The South Campus consolidates the Archetype Press and Printmaking Studio in one location, leading to better communication among students using these unique facilities. With its 16,000-square-foot Wind Tunnel exhibition and event space, rooftop café and garden, the South Campus attracts students, friends and visitors of all cultures to come together for discourse and exchange of ideas, experience and information on art and design.
