Providence Township is a township in Lac qui Parle County, Minnesota. The population was 186 at the 2000 census. The town of Providence in sections 23 and 24 is the only community in Providence Township. It has an estimated population of 20. It lies on the intersection of 265th Avenue and 120th Street.
The township was settled in 1877, and organized October 31, 1878. The village had a post office 1879-96 and 1898-1907.
