It has a large generous selection of local stores, as well as an Ideas store, and a Woolworths. It is known for it's interesting clock tower, which was designed as part of the 1951 festival of Britain. It is open Monday to Saturday 9am to 4 pm, and on Thursdays 9-12. It sells almost anything, fruit to toys, to clothes, to plants. It also hosts local events in the central square.
