Rotary Park of Merritt Island

It began as a local community driven "Project Playground" to construct an extensive wooden playground, pavalion, nature center, nature trail, and soccer fields. Today, the playground has been largely replaced by a more simple plastic version, and the soccer fields and parking lot have been rebuilt, but the park still is a community focal point and a wonderful walk on a cool evening. The land is currently owned by the County School Board, so a future school is never out of the question.
