Springfield is a city in Brown County, Minnesota. The population was 2,152 at the 2010 census.

The site was originally platted as Burns in 1877, and was known as Burns Station and Burnstown. The name changed to Springfield when it was incorporated in 1881. A post office was established in 1873. The early village, built principally of brick, had five grain elevators, brick and tile works, a flour mill, and a creamery.
