Granstaff Campground is named after William Granstaff ("Negro Bill"), a pioneer resident of the area. It has numerous campsites among plantings of native vegetation. Facilities: picnic tables, tent pads, and vault toilets.

The present configuration is a big change from its former arrangement. The campsites used to be situated in a thick jungle of tamarisk bushes, which made the sites cozy and private. The former appearance shows up in historical imagery of Google Earth. As part of the program to get rid of invasive tamarisk near Moab, the campground was completely re-built in 2008 with native vegetation. One benefit of the new configuration is better views of the Colorado River. Before the re-building, the campground was known as "Negro Bill Campground."
