Kharkiv Cathedral Mosque was built in 2000.
At the end of the excavation of the pit, part of the brick foundation of the old Mohammedan cathedral mosque, which was built on this site in 1905, was found.
It was considered as a sign – the foundations of the old and new mosques were joined on the once consecrated place.
