This is a beautiful beach with a huge stretch of white sand. It used to be a very popular destination in the summer years ago, and is slowly being done up and regaining its former stature. Surfers love Muizenberg beach, and there are many little surf shops nearby. I have seen dolphins in the waves quite far in, and it is possible to see whales near the beach when the season is right, and there the occasional shark alert.
