Buckner Park opened to the public October 1, 2004. Buckner is located on Bass Road west of Interstate 69. It is 197.8 acres in size with 90 acres of mature woodlands. The hiking trail that is accessible from Bass Road is a 3/4 mile loop trail. A new sprayground and pavilion were dedicated May 22, 2009.
