The Karaite Synagogues in Evpatoria are at the Karaimska street. The temple complex of Crimean Karaites (Karais) takes up 0,25 hectares and consists of the Big and Small Synagogue (prayer house) buildings, the buildings of a religious school, a charitable dining room, an economic farmstead and several internal courtyards of marble with grapevines and memorials).It was once the center of the religious life of the Karaites of Evpatoria and Crimea. From 1837 and until the Revolution it was the spiritual center of Karaites in Russia.

The temple complex of the Big and Small Synagogues was constructed in the beginning of the XIX century following Samuil and Solomon Babovich's project. In 1805 the building of the Big Cathedral Synagogue was finished, and in 1815 on the location of a derelict Karaite temple of the XVI century the building of the Small Synagogue was erected.
