Academic Ste Cecile International School
A prestigious interfaith international private school based on Roman Catholic principles founded by Therese Gadoury in 1994. The former Holy Redeemer College property was acquired in 1995. The school offers an International Baccalaureate program for high school students and has an enrollment of 250, including 70 international students who board at the school.
Holy Redeemer College
Built in 1957 for the Redemptionist Fathers as a teaching seminary and training facility for missionaries. In 1963 it became affiliated with Assumption University the predecessor of the University of Windsor. Later it became a religious retreat before being sold in 1995.
The building was designed by architect Francis Barry Byrne (1883-1967), in the mid century modernist style with a touch of the Prairie School style. Byrne began his architectural career with Frank Lloyd Wright and the building is considered one of his best works, featuring a chapel highlighted by stained glass windows designed by his wife Annette Cremin Byrne.
