The first of two Student Unions at Glasgow, GUU was founded in 1885 as the "Men's Union" but is now mixed.
Since 1989 it has admitted students of both sexes, offering bars, catering and such student services.
Despite this however, it still has its distinctly more "establishment" feel compared to the quirky and laid back QM.
