Joint Stock Insurance Company Lemma is one of the largest Ukrainian non-life insurers in GWP, reserves and paid up capital operating in the local market since 1994.

The Company is licensed to write all kinds of non-life business in Ukrainian market including such specialized lines as Space and Aviation, Crops, Livestock, Domestic and Export Credit, Nuclear facilities operators insurance etc.

In direct domestic market the company is focused mainly on the big corporate clients in industrial sector. Medical insurance schemes, motor policies and other mass products are offered, as a rule to large corporations.

Apart from direct business Lemma is quite active in the local reinsurance market both on facultative and treaty basis. Assumed reinsurance business by the year end 2008 accounted for approximately 52% of the GWP.

In the international market Lemma provides cover for more than 160 companies from Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and all the Middle East and GCC countries. Lemma is officially approved as a reinsurer by the Regulatory authorities of Egypt, Jordan and Syria.

The Company is the only one in Ukrainian market offering professional reinsurance for foreign export credit institutions.

Lemma is audited by BDO since 2004 and rated by A.M. Best (B+, stable outlook) since 2006.

Lemma is a member of Ukrainian Insurance League, Ukrainian Nuclear Pool, Russian Association of Space and Aviation Insurers, Ukrainian Aviation Bureau and Ukrainian Motor (Transport) Bureau.

As from 2004 the Company has the status of Observer within International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS).
