It was founded on March 12 of 1914 under the name of The Equitable, it immediately started to grow to acquire the insurance portfolio of the Company Venezolana de Seguros. Shortly after it was decided to rename Seguros La Previsora that for 1930 had already acquired another company, Phoenix Insurance. In 1973 opened its current headquarters located in Plaza Venezuela , in the geographic center of the city of Caracas.
