Passengers at Brussels Airport use this main airport terminal for departures and arrivals. Concourses A, B, and C are connected to the terminal from which planes arrive and depart.

On 22 March, 2016, two bombs exploded in the departure hall of the Brussels Airport terminal. A third bomb failed to explode. ISIL claimed responsibility for the attacks at the airport and a simultaneous attack at Maalbeek Metro Station which killed 32 total.
