One of the 29 ground stations used by the International Maritime Satellite Communication System.
The Inmarsat LES is using the Atlantic Ocean Region West,
Atlantic Ocean Region East and Indian Ocean Region satellite.
Services supported by the station:
Inmarsat C, M/B, mM, MPDS, Mobman, Fleet F77, F55, F33, GAN, Swift64, R.
Exploited by Astrium Services (formerly Vizada, formerly Telenor Satellite Services)

* Launch and Early Orbit Phase Telemetry station.
* Tracking & Control Earth Station.
(Both in back-up for LES Fucino, Lake Cowichan, Pennant Point, and Beijing.)
* Rescue Coordination Centre, Stavanger.

This station operates a remote antenna site that allows a view of satellites otherwise not available from the main Eik station due to the local geography. The remote site can be found here:
