The planned site of a new YM-YWCA community centre and pool. Children of the 80's in St. John's will remember this site as Terry Fox Park, or as it was better known, "the Tire Park" as all the park structures were made from old tires. Environmentally friendly, maybe, but the tires collected water inside the rims and dirt in the treads and eventually it was torn down because of the mess.
