In 1956, in South downtown Victoria, the late F.G. "Kiko" Trevino and his wife, Bea, opened their first Mexican restaurant called "New Mecca". until recently they operated Siesta Restaurant at this location. Today a restaurant specializing in comfort food, Frances Marie's, is located here
