Village (cun) in Baima county. Zhiqin village is the location of Zhiqin Si, Tibetan: Dodrubchen Gompa, which was founded in 1527 as tented monastery. It was destroyed by the Mongols. Later the new monastery was established by Jigme Puntsok Jungne (1824-1863). Developed and expanded by his successor Tenpei Nyima (1865-1926). Up to the 1950s the monastery had 13 incarnate lamas and 250 monks. Nowadays there are residing 100 monks, eight hermits and 30 college students.
