Chavakkandy Maidanan was used as a funeral land many decades before. Now its a barren land used as a playing ground by local people. Its is also used for driving practise and in election campaigns. The Banayan Tree on the NW corner provides shade from the heat of the sun. The road curve on the NE corner is an accident-prone area which needs attention.
