Former Cozla cataract

To facilitate navigation on the part Cozla-Doica, with enough depth at low water, before the creation of Iron Gates I accumulation was dug to the bottom of the bed of a basin 3500 m long, 2 feet deep and 60 m wide, lifting the 85,000 m3 rock. Dredging works were done in 1893-1896.
