we lived here at this corner entrance of Ashbaug Society since our childhood. Our house was built in the late 1940's. The Ashabug socety had chha galas and Shri Gandubhai Desai's wadi(Gandukaka) and residence. Now divided in Ahabaug and Chickuwadi and at the back Alka Society. Shambhu Desai heir of Shri Gandukaka built almost the whole society. Vijay Desai, Mahadev Desai, Shambhu Desai, Kiran Desai, Chandrakant (Chand Mistry) Ashok Valji Patel, Amrit Valji Patel, Chhotukaka Vakil, Valji Kaka, Pankaj Patel, Nilesh Patel, one time all lived in the chha galas. The life was a great joy thenin our child hood.Mahesh Lad, Shantilal Lad, Gulab Lad, lived in the house at the main entrance. There used to be a locable,metal swing gate.
