Few interesting comments made by user KKS Chauhan : (From a deleted tag)- Queens cursed them and they too died on single day after internal fight and their chhatri is situated opposite Tehsil behind halwai shop they were also cursed that there will be unnatural deaths in Chauhan family and there family line will not spread. Male child will be less in numbers and this curse is felt even today by the last family in old village -MY FAMILY. As a member of chauhan family I render unconditional apology to departed souls of Sati Matas, and murdered 17 brothers forgive us. Those 17 Pawar brothers had forcibly held one pujari daughter in fort when she went there to invite queens for her marriage later pujari sought help from chauhan brothers settled near Bansoor annoyed by the decision of their father Old King of Neemrana to remarry his maid and also announce that child born to that maid will be king after him after ensuring real princes thrown out of palace maid got the old king murdered and later sold the Neemrana fort for mere Rs3 lacs. The said baoli is situated under the fort on Narainpur road and Pawar brothers use to come down before sunrise daily from fort for taking bath one by one on the fateful morning one Chauhan swordsman hid in the baoli and killed all 17 brothers one by one, last one tried to escape after seeing baoli colour red with blood but his head too was cut while running and according to legend the torso run many kms and fell at present day Swastika Mandir where Pawar queens committed Sati and apart from baoli and Sawastika Mandir the haunting story of HEADLESS GHOST roaming on fort walls as told by my grandmother is also true. On my recent visit the major change in fort was a temple dome. Heading high amid five burges of fort and all four roads leading to town relaid and doubled . We progress but traditions and legends remain with us from centuries. Will be. grateful if someone can share more about the history of my birthplace , we just renovated our old haveli adjacent to Police Chowki in main bazaar.
