This cemetery was built by the Ministry of the Environment and Forests in 2005. The medical companies of the 16th and 5th divisions first set up their first-aid posts then the divisional hospital around Kocadere village. During the war, other hospitals were set up for injured and seriously-wounded soldiers in this area.
