Zone of central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 1838 people residing in 361 individual households.

Present Situation
Katuwachaupari and Kushma[katuwachaupari.webs.com/kushma.htm] are seperated by Modi[katuwachaupari.webs.com/modi.htm] river where there is likely to have the highest bridge -- and second longest at that -- of its type in the country. However, record-setting has also raised safety concerns.


The place where the suspension bridge has been started to build. At that time People of Katuwachaupari and Kushma were thinking that was impossible and they even said that he is going to hang rope in the sky, but he did so.And nowadays people are applying his ideas to get telephone lines from Kushma Bazaar. The bridge will connect Kusma bazaar, district headquarters of [Parbat][[katuwachaupari.webs.com/parbat.htm]] to Katuwachaupari VDC.

"This is the first suspension bridge (with no tower) with this much free board ever built in Nepal," said Engineer Badri Prasad Dhungel of Suspension Bridge Division under MoLD.Senior experts and engineers have questioned its safety and utility given its height and length.
According to the expert, due to the height of the bridge, people may get dizzy and frightened.The location was chosen as it can directly connect district headquarters Kushma to villages including Katuwachaupari, [Pipaltari][[katuwachaupari.webs.com/pipaltari.htm]], [Arthur][[katuwachaupari.webs.com/arthur.htm]], [Thulipokhari][[katuwachaupari.webs.com/thulipokhari.htm]], [Khaula][[katuwachaupari.webs.com/khaula.htm]], [Shankarpokhari][[katuwachaupari.webs.com/shankarpokhari.htm]], [Thapathana][[katuwachaupari.webs.com/thapathana.htm]], [Karkineta][[katuwachaupari.webs.com/karkinetai.htm]], [Bicharichautara][[katuwachaupari.webs.com/bicharichautara.htm]] and other adjoining villages far from a road head, according to the division. The estimated budget for its construction is 7.2 million rupees, which is funded by the government itself.

At Katuwachaupari Cycle Chowk is the main bazaar where all the leading roads meets such as Kushma-Cyclechowk-[Phalewash][[katuwachaupari.webs.com/phalewash.htm]]. Cycle Chowk is famous for its by name. It was happened to be because of me and my friends because we used to ride bi-cycles there first. We are [(Rabins, Nabins, Parikshit, Deepesh, Kishwor, Partap and others)][katuwachaupari.webs.com/we.htm]. A person named Krishna Sharma Poudel, people of cyclechowk used to called Krishna Buwa named that place cyclechowk because he use to watch us while we riding bi-cycles all day when we were little kids.
As cyclechowk lies on the centre many people gathered there and make noise all day long.
While visiting to Katuwachaupari, no need of foods and other things to bring, you can just order there, food, drinks,beds,cameras,use internet and many more. Katuwachaupari is nowadays full of every thing.

Development
Due to that two suspension bridge and the good network of the roads, the price of the land is increasing day by day.People leaving at the top of the hills are migrating to Katuwachaupari,Gyandi. People think that everything is avilable in Gyandi. According to experts after the completion of the suspension road Kushma Bazaar will be downed.
